2010 Batch B is starting to coalesce. If you are scheming to get into the FBB pipeline, the time to bounce your ideas off me is now! Slots are negotiable. Batch B will contain 6 basses and is tenatively looking as follows:

Serial Description Status
139 4 string lampati/nuDC bolt-on on spec
143 5 string fretted koa/maple keeper
144 6 string koa/poplar semi-hollow on spec
145 5 string on spec
146 6 string on spec
147 7 string on spec

"On Spec" means I have no buyer and those slots are still maleable. Drop me an email if you are interested in working out a build that fits the schedule!

April 2010

I am pleased to report that the new FBB facility is up and running, and after a longer-than-anticipated restart time, things are moving in the 2010 pipeline once again. For those of you who are waiting on instruments, I want to express my gratitude for your patience.

The current production schedule is going to look mostly like I had envisioned during my last update. There is one holdover from the old schedule (sorry for the delay Vince!). That is priority #1. Then there is a batch of 6 basses (136-142). Three of those are under contract, the remaining are free agents but will be spec'd out as I go -- if you want any kind of creative control you need to lock up free agents as soon as you are ready.

In addition to the 2009 holdout and 2010 Batch A, inventoried basses will come under contract and wiggle into the schedule for a refresh and possible modifications. The schedule will necessarily remain somewhat fluid and as such build/mod times will vary.

I am not in general accepting deposits for future batches. Anyone is welcome to send an email letting me know what you have in mind. Very compelling builds may get a slot in the on-deck batch or influence an open slot in the upcoming batch. You may see something pop up that fits your needs if you have expressed interest to me, so do drop in from time to time or follow FBB on Facebook. When the current batch is completed, I will update the page to reflect the upcoming batch. At that time you may put a deposit on any non-commissioned slot(s).

Have a great Spring/Summer!
